Again, I'm playing...preparing for the field trip. This is a video I shot at a Third Day concert last week end. When the song kicks in, the sound gets muted. My poor little camera just couldn't handle the "noise" level on the second row! Hope you like it!

It was at Nissan Pavillion in Northern Virginia. We went up and spent the week end with my brother-in-law. Spent Saturday afternoon in DC and went to the show Sunday night.

Do you like Third Day? I KNOW I am their biggest fan! :) I got to meet them Sunday night after the show. I have autographs and pictures! A HUGE thrill for me!

Oh, wow! I LOVE the Nissan Pavillion! I went to my very first concert there (August 9, 1995...it was a Wednesday! Yes...I remember that!) I saw The Cranberries - an Irish rock band of the 1990's. Do you know them? I will make you a CD if not! (I am THEIR biggest fan...I actually won an International contest that proves it...hehehehehe! I am serious!!) Anyway, YES! I really, really like Third Day! "Forever" and "I Can Feel It" are two of my favorites. I really like the drums on "I Can Feel It". Don't you think they sound a little like Hootie and the Blowfish? Mac Powell's voice reminds me of Darius Rucker.

Oh, and I also really like MercyMe. Actually, I really like all kinds of music. My iPod is all over the map with different songs. Putting my music on shuffle is always weird because it's always something like a song from The Sound of Music soundtrack followed by Pearl Jam! hehehe!

Anyway, back to the point: That is so awesome that you were able to meet Third Day and get their autographs after the show! How did you manage a backstage pass? The Nissan Pavillion is a BIG venue...but soooo nice! And you were in the second row at Nissan? That is awesome!!!

I have never seen Third Day perform live, but I have heard some of their live recordings and they really, really sound great live! I am always impressed with a band that can sound as good live as they do in the studio.

I am so happy for you that you were able to have such an incredible time at the show. It sounds like an absolute blast! It's great that you have photos...not that you'd ever forget the experience, I am sure! (:
