Here it is...FINALLY! Enjoy!

     Visit the class photo album to watch 3 videos of the kids participating in readers' theater. They read for the preK class and the office on Thursday morning.
     I enjoyed meeting with everyone during parent teacher conferences. Thanks so much for coming in.

     I had it all planned out...after the spelling test this morning, the kids would be busy making a class book and I'd call them up to the computer one at a time to finish up our voicethread about the pumpkin disguises.
     I sat down at the computer after the test, clicked on explorer, and
ta dah... the internet was down!!! UGH! So... I'm going to try again on Monday!
     Did you hear about our science experiment? We learned the "scientific method" as we conducted an experiment with solids, cold water, and hot water. I'm sure you remember from your old science fair days...question, hypothesis, test, observation, and conclusion. The kids were pretty excited about this. Next week we'll experiment some more!
     I also have some new "power up" video that I'm going to try to post this week end. (I haven't previewed the video yet, so I'll have to see how it turned out before I post it!) Go to the school website and click on class photos later this week end.

     Today we had fun making disguises for some pumpkins that would rather not be carved for Halloween! After creating the disguises, the kids wrote about their pumpkin. (We're working on a voicethread so that you can hear them read what they wrote, but these things take time, so we'll finish it up next week!) In the meantime, you can check out the pictures on this picasa album.
     I have created a picasa site where you can go to not only view our class photos, but you can download them to your own computer! I'll include a link on the school web site under  "Class Photo Album." I also added pictures that Mrs. Habel took at Drumheller's. (Thanks for sharing!)
     Sorry I didn't get the spelling tests sent home today. (It was one of those days where there was too much to do and not enough time to do it!) Everyone did REALLY well!
