I am enjoying my last full week off. I've been reading and playing on the computer a lot this summer. I've also been working on church stuff. This week I'm trying to change my sleeping habits. I admit, I enjoy staying up late and sleeping in. I am not looking forward to getting up at six o'clock!

I hope that you will enjoy the last couple of weeks with your child before school starts. You may want to begin working on rearranging his/her schedule too! Start moving that bedtime back. Young children need more sleep than adults. (8:00 - 8:30 is a nice bedtime for first graders.)

8:30? That's when I go to bed! I don't really like to sleep; but I do like to read books to myself and play with my stuffed animals while I am waiting to fall asleep. I like my stuffed animals. I think I have, like, 50. Sometimes, I put them off to the side so I don't get all scrunched up. I have this stuffed animal that is a dog and he says "I want a hug, I want a hug." Mommy and Daddy gave him to me for Valentine's Day, and I love him. Sometimes I like reading Little Critter stories before bed. Sometimes Daddy reads them to me or I read them myself. Little Critter is cool because he tells about things that he does. I have a book where he went to the beach with his grandma. The name of it is "Just Grandma and Me". He wanted to set up the beach tent but the wind was too much and it blew away. It was funny. I do like Little Bear too. I watch the TV show on Noggin, and I like the books too. I don't know why we have the same likes, but we do; and it is very nice to meet you. See you later.
